Student planning career path 01 · Pre-MBA Planning

Build the foundation before the process begins.

Pre-MBA Planning and Performance Coaching

If you're 6 to 24 months away from applying, this is a great place to start.

You get a sustained coaching relationship designed to help you build the profile and the inner foundation you'll need to walk into your applications ready.

We start with a deep-dive profile assessment beyond your GPA and GMAT. We look at where you are in your career, where you want to go, and what is genuinely distinctive about the way you move through the world. From there, we identify your strengths honestly and your gaps without judgment, and we build a concrete action plan to close them before you apply.

Over the following months, we work together in two ways. Scheduled coaching sessions keep you on track and give you space to think through decisions as they come up: a new project at work, a leadership opportunity, a pivot you're considering. And because this is EduVentura, we go deeper than admissions strategy. We weave in career and performance coaching so that you'll walk into the application process sharper, more self-aware, and more grounded.

What's included

Comprehensive profile assessment session

Personalized action plan with concrete benchmarks

Two 45-minute coaching check-in sessions, scheduled when you need them

Career and performance coaching integrated throughout

Email support between sessions

Credit toward a full EduVentura package if you choose to continue

Who this is for: Applicants who are 6 to 24 months from applying and want to arrive at the starting line ready.

"In early 2021, with a little less than 1.5 years of work experience, everyone thought I was too early to be thinking about an MBA. I heard 'average work experience 5 years' more times than I like to recall. The entire experience, from school selection to essay brainstorming to interview prep, became so much more memorable because I had the privilege to work with Charli. Under her mentorship, I received interview invites to all seven schools I applied to, and received offers from five of them."
— 1.5 years experience → 5 of 7 admits; NYU Stern, Forte Fellow
"I come from an untraditional technical function, Exploration Geology, and knew I wanted to pivot away from mining. I didn't simply need someone to read an essay or two; I needed someone to help me build the foundations for a career pivot. Charli immediately calmed some of my fears by assuring me that many folks she's worked with have similar stories. We worked from the ground floor, maybe even the basement, of the application process. I didn't expect my time with Charli to be so transformative, but in hindsight I really needed it to be."

"Charli helped me see how I was underselling myself and the work I do to admissions committees through the way I had phrased elements of my experience on my resume, shared an effective framework to help tell my story through the essays, and helped me home in on target schools based on my profile, all in 25 minutes. I came away from the call with more clarity and confidence to face the MBA application process."

"For me, one of the most valuable parts of working with Charli was crafting my resume. I have held a number of technical roles and was struggling to find a way to convey my work and impact in a way that would be meaningful to admissions committees. Charli worked through many drafts with me and I'm so pleased with the final result. While I did not receive interview invites to my two top choice schools, I did receive three acceptances and am happy with where I am headed this fall, especially because I received significant merit scholarships. I am sure that these scholarships are a reflection of the applications that I submitted with Charli's help."

"My first trek through the MBA application cycle, after seeing so much free information online, I figured I could do it on my own. Ultimately, I was rejected without interview at four schools ranked in the 7-12 range. Charli helped me bring out my authentic self that I never would have uncovered alone. There are tons of resources online, but I am absolutely certain that none are as useful, impactful, or relevant as working directly with Charli. On paper, I am below average on literally every metric at every school in the top 20, but I find myself with multiple offers, including one from HBS."
— Reapplicant: 4 dings → HBS + multiple M7 offers
"The first round of applications, I applied to four schools and got zero acceptances. This time around, I applied to seven schools and got six acceptances (M7 included). I also got multiple scholarship offers, including a full ride plus stipend for my top school! My perception of MBA consultants has changed. Don't get me wrong, I still believe that there are a lot of bad consultants out there. But there are a few kick-ass consultants out there who will truly be invested in you and unlock your potential. Just a few. Charli is one of them."

"I initially worked with Charli on R1 applications across 3 schools. When I just couldn't get my GMAT high enough in time, Charli and I had a debrief call, she calmed me down, told me it was all going to work out, and I decided to switch strategy: I submitted all my applications in R2 instead. Despite all the tears, I'm happy to say that I was admitted into one M7, waitlisted at another M7, and admitted into three T15s and one T20."

"Charli went above and beyond during our time together. Her dedication persisted from the day one consult to the interview prep, and even continues today as she's helping me negotiate scholarships. Our work together resulted in admittance into LBS and into an Ivy League program (with a partial scholarship), while also getting waitlisted at a third school. I know I couldn't have done this without Charli's dedication, care, and support."
— Admitted to LBS and Ivy League with scholarship
"Thanks to Charli's support, I start INSEAD in August and it's a dream come true. What I really appreciate is that even after the admission process, Charli has been available for any questions and building a community of support to get ready for the MBA. Even as I was changing which school to apply to at the last minute, Charli was with me making sure we'd represented me the best possible way."
— INSEAD
"Thanks to Charli, I got into my dream school INSEAD with a Forte scholarship. She made the application journey much more fun and enjoyable because she made sure that I know I'm a rock star even when I doubted myself. Getting into business school is merely a short-term benefit of working with Charli. She continues to connect me with people with shared interests and gives me advice on career planning. She has become my life coach, career coach, and a friend I will certainly be in touch with during business school and many years after."
— INSEAD, Forte Scholar
"I was successfully admitted to INSEAD and waitlisted by UCLA. The whole experience with Charli empowered me to be ready for all the challenges ahead. I learned how to network, how to fight for my rights, and how to be a persuasive storyteller. Living away from the capital of my country, I even got myself a pre-MBA internship role while reaching out. The whole process always focused on my individuality, and I was always the priority."
