I work with young leaders: students who care about their communities, have begun to make an impact, and want to make something of their lives. Leadership might mean student government or being a valedictorian. It might mean taking care of people in the neighborhood, starting something of your own, or seeing a problem and deciding to do something about it.
You don’t have to have perfect grades. What’s important is your commitment and heart.
Together, we explore what you love, what matters to you, what you bring to a community, and where you want to grow. We help you find your authentic voice, tell your story, and think about how you want to use your time at university.
We’ll coach you to craft essays that reflect your voice and your vision.
How we work together
We start with you: your experiences, your interests and what you want from university. Together, we agree your priorities and build a practical plan around your application deadlines. We’ll coach you through brainstorming, shaping your stories, drafting and refining your essays, and preparing the other parts of your applications. You remain the author of your work.
Hourly coaching gives you the flexibility to focus on what you need now: discovering your stories, essays, activities, application questions, interviews or exploring your future. A comprehensive partnership supports the agreed applications from planning through submission. We can work across the Common App, UC, UCAS and other international systems, with the scope agreed for each. The options below explain what is included, followed by a closer look at the Excavation and the foundation it gives you.

The comprehensive Excavation and your written roadmap, plus ten hours of coaching for essays, activities, application questions, interviews or exploring your future. Use your hours across the schools and application systems we agree together.

The Excavation is separate from your ten coaching hours. Sessions, agreed preparation and written feedback count toward those hours. We agree priorities together; the package does not promise completion of a fixed number of applications.

Focused Coaching
Experienced coaching where you need it.
Support with your stories, essays, activities, applications, interviews or thinking about your future. We agree your priorities and use the time where it will help most.
$295 per hour
Ten-hour package: $2,500
Service Family Rate: $200 per hour or $1,750 for ten hours, for State Department, international NGO or charity, and military families.
Hours are valid for six months. Coaching sessions, agreed preparation and written feedback count toward your hours. The full Excavation is available separately for $1,200, or with ten coaching hours for $3,700. Eligible service families can book the Excavation plus ten coaching hours for $2,950.

A partnership through your agreed application journey.
Includes the Excavation and your written roadmap, Common App support and the supplemental requirements for the universities in your package. We work with your existing counselors and resources where appropriate.
Common App + one university: $5,200
Common App + up to three universities: $7,500
Additional US universities: $1,500 each
UC, UCAS and other international systems have separately agreed scope and pricing. A Common App partnership does not automatically include every application system.

The Excavation: a foundation for your applications and your future.
Before we work on how to tell your story, we take the time to understand it. The Excavation is a deep, reflective coaching process that helps you explore your values, your passions and the experiences that have shaped you. We look at what you bring to the table, what you want to learn, where you want to grow and where you might want to go.
This is a crucial foundation for understanding yourself. It helps you recognize your strengths, understand what drives you and make thoughtful choices about university and your future. It also gives us a foundation for coaching you to craft essays that reflect your voice and your vision.
Your Excavation includes a written roadmap that brings together the stories, values, strengths and possibilities we uncover, with practical next steps for our work together. This is a document you can keep and return to as you explore internships, prepare for your first jobs and think about what comes next. Five or ten years from now, you can look back at what mattered to you, what you hoped to learn and how you have grown.
You don’t need to have your whole life mapped out. The Excavation gives you a place to begin, and a resource you can build on as your interests, experiences and ambitions develop.

I bring more than 25 years of experience across international higher education, admissions and coaching. I have worked with young people across programs and disciplines, admitting students for whole universities, as well as coaching MBA applicants through ambitious educational and career transitions.
Our work together goes well beyond basic essay editing. I bring the leadership, performance and career coaching from my work with MBA applicants to Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and INSEAD into our undergraduate partnerships. We tailor that work to high schoolers dreaming about their futures.
